It is not lost to us there is a significant segment of the Kikuyu community that simply won’t let go the false belief that a Luo, let alone anyone else other than a Kikuyu or Kale cannot be president.
Obviously, that’s their prerogative.
Fortunately for the country, and for all of us, a majority of our brothers and sisters from Central, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and influential women like Governor Anne Waiguru and Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege, these powerful and influential Kikuyus and their like-minded are saying it’s time to start new chapter in Kenya and let someone other than a Kikuyu or Kale lead the country.
We welcome that and can only feel sad for those who continue to peddle a Ruto presidency that is flawed in so many ways and for so many reasons with rejection of corruption being at the top.
Simply put, Ruto cannot exploit hatred of Raila in Central and use at leas money obtained by questionable means to bulldoze and buy his way into the presidency.
Something else is not lost to us but that’s for another blog suffice to say it is extremely unlikely Ruto will become our next president.
